My best friend tyler moved up to boone to go to school, he's still my best friend but we are lucky if we can hang out once a month.

My other 'friends' would rather go hang out w/ other people than chill w/ me...or they want to play dnd until 4 or 5 the next morning and I just can't do that with my 8-5 job.

bobby bailed on getting an apartment with me, looks like it's just going to be me paying for everything...there goes my plans of getting all my debt paid off ASAP.

i copied and pasted most of this from my thread at FO, so a lot of you have already seen this:


I was going through a green light in downtown going to get some chinese food on my lunch break. All I remember after that was squeaking tires, looking to my right and seeing a van heading for my passenger side really fast...and then I remember looking at my light to make sure it was green...and it was...and then I remember being spun around in the intersection and a lot of broken glass flying everywhere.

My car was totaled, I thought I was ok so I called my boss and told her that I had gotten into a wreck and then I called the cops because the person in the other car didn't have a phone. The lady driving the car was delivering for a florist. Cops came, tow truck came...as my adrenalin level started to go down I noticed my side was hurting really bad, so I went to the ER.

My rib is cracked...but other than that I'm ok. Scary day...and now I'm stuck at the house in pain.

the guy i'm replacing was having trouble w/ his eye on friday...so i offered him some of my contact solution to flush his eye out...

so my entertainment is gone for now...so now I'm bored until she wakes up, and I probably have another good hour before she gets up.

First week of work went ok,  I felt odd about the job to start with but as of Friday I'm starting to like it a lot more.  The biggest con of where I work is the fact that everyone is at least 10 yrs older than me.  Looks like the turnover rate is really low there, so I really have nothing in common with anyone...

But, money's good, benefits are ok, and it's a job.....

I want someone who cares about my daughter
I want someone who doesn't care that I'm a little overweight...
I want someone who can understand that one night a week I want to spend time with my friends playing shadowrun
I want someone who is ok with the fact that sometimes I just need to be alone
I want someone who understands that sometimes I can't be alone

So far, after looking for so long...nothing

Today was my first day at work, it went well.  The IT staff is really nice, I think I know them from somewhere but I don't know where.

I went to the lake w/ some friends last night, it was a blast. 

Now I'm sleepy, later

I got the job in HKY, so I'm moving back

just got back from the beach.  My uncle and his (now wife) had a wedding on the beach, which was pretty cool.  I like my new aunt and I think she fits into the family very well.  Her kids are also pretty cool, her daughter spent most of the time playing with my daughter (new cousin is 12) and that was nice to have someone to chase her around for me...though I probably needed the running, I've gained weight since I moved in with my mom, which is depressing.

being the only single person over the age of 18 is also depressing when you're at a wedding, and that was who I was.  I was "the divorced guy", that was a load of fun.

Also, you would think there would be more hot chicks at the beach, but no...there were very few, so I didn't even have anything nice to look at.

Well...yeah, I gotta start working out and now I think I'm actually motivated to do it.  I'll keep you LJ people updated.

So, yesterday I went to a staffing agency to fill out paperwork to see if they could find a job for me.  I had to watch this idiotic video on office safety...these guys are very afraid of getting sued.

I also got a call today about a possible 2-week contract position in Wilkesboro, which would mean I'd go stay w/ Tyler and Muffin for that time...which means I'll temporarily be back in NC.  I don't know if I got the position yet, so don't anyone up there hold your breath...might not get to go back.

Also, my stepmom called and said she was contacted by a company up there in Hickory about an IT position.  Figures, I get all my shit packed and move the fuck down here, just to start getting job offers back UP THERE.

I also miss Elphie, but this week Melinda only has her today, tomorrow, and thursday and I will have her friday through sunday!!!!  And we are going to the beach!!  My uncle's getting married on the beach saturday morning, so we are all staying at the beach for the weekend.  It's going to rock, I haven't been on vacation in 2 years.
